My main focus is the molecular mechanisms of K channels implicated in channelopathies. My tools are cellular electrophysiology, mutagenesis, and computer models of the currents generated by ion channels. All these approaches are instrumental in defining the molecular and cellular mechanisms of the ion channels electrical activity. Shedding light on the link between the structure and the function of ion channels will probably lead to the discovery of new therapeutic targets in the context of cardiac arrhythmias.
